ECIS Renewables grew out of East Coast Infrastructure Services' work on some of the UK's largest energy infrastructure projects — Viking Link, London Power Tunnels, Moray East, Eastern Green Link. Being on the ground for projects at that scale gave us a front-row seat to the UK's energy transition, and it became clear that the same expertise powering national grid-scale infrastructure could — and should — be brought down to the level of individual businesses and homes.

That's the mission: to make the transition to renewable energy as accessible and low-risk for a single commercial site as it is inevitable at the national level. We saw too many businesses either priced out of going green or stuck without the technical know-how to do it properly, while the infrastructure sector solved these exact problems every day at scale.

What drives us:

We're not just installers — we're infrastructure people who happen to specialise in solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, and heat pumps. That background means we think about resilience, longevity, and how systems perform over 20+ years, not just installation day.

We're also driven by removing the financial barriers to switching. Through PPA and NPA-funded routes, we help businesses access renewable energy without the upfront capital outlay that stops so many from making the switch — pairing our technical infrastructure heritage with funding models that make the transition genuinely achievable.

Ultimately, we want every customer we work with to know they're getting the same rigour and standards that go into major national energy projects, applied to their own site.
